Privacy Policy

Chamfered does not collect, store, transmit, or sell any of your personal data or usage information. That’s the whole policy, in one sentence — everything below is the more elaborate version of the same principle.

What Chamfered collects

Nothing. Chamfered ships without analytics, without telemetry, without crash reporting of its own, without advertising, and especially without user accounts. The app never knows know who you are, and it never asks.

Where your data lives

Every project you create — your parts, your models, anything you write in Documenter — is stored locally on your device using Apple’s SwiftData framework. That data is kept locally on your hardware. If you use Time Machine or iCloud Drive backups, that’s Apple’s or your own backup system moving your files, not Chamfered — the app itself never transmits your data. Period.

TestFlight

While Chamfered is in TestFlight, Apple’s TestFlight service itself collects some information as part of operating the beta program — things like crash logs, diagnostics, and any feedback you choose to submit through TestFlight. That collection is done by Apple’s platform, not by Chamfered’s own code, and it’s governed by Apple’s Privacy Policy, not this one. The Developer of Chamfered only ever sees what Apple’s TestFlight dashboard shows: crash reports and feedback you’ve explicitly chosen to send.

Third parties

Chamfered comes without embedded third-party analytics SDKs, ad networks, or tracking libraries. There’s nothing else to disclose.

Children’s privacy

Chamfered is not specifically directed at children – no user data is ever collected for any kind of user – which, per the sections above, includes children.

Changes to this policy

If Chamfered’s data practices ever change — for example, if a future version adds optional cloud sync — this page will be updated first, before that feature ships, and the change will be described plainly, the same way this version is.
