Chamfered 26.5.6

  • TrackPoint camera control — a new on-screen joystick (bottom-left of the Builder viewport) is now how you orbit and pan the camera. Click and drag the center dot in any direction to orbit; hold Shift while dragging to pan instead. Let go and it springs back to center and stops moving.
  • Quick view snapping — four arrow buttons around the joystick snap the camera to the nearest straight-on view (front, back, left, right, top, or bottom). Keep tapping the same arrow to keep stepping around the model.
  • Click-to-set anchor points — selecting a part now shows small clickable dots directly on its 3D bounding box, and on whatever it’s attached to, so you can click exactly where you want it to anchor instead of guessing through six Min/Mid/Max menus in the Inspector.
  • Anchor dots now hide when something’s in the way — a dot on the far side of a shape, or hidden behind another part from the current angle, no longer shows through as if the model were transparent.
  • New Viewport settings — orbit and pan sensitivity can now be adjusted from the Settings window.
  • Export defaults are remembered — the File Format, Mesh Complexity, and Export Sizing you pick are now saved and reused as the default the next time you export, instead of resetting every time.

Changed

  • Trackpad two-finger dragging no longer orbits or pans the camera — the on-screen joystick is now the only way to do that. Trackpad pinch-to-zoom and scroll-wheel zoom still work as before.
  • The Settings window is now a fixed size and can no longer be resized.

Fixed

  • Rotating a part could previously make it impossible to align its flat face to another part, and could make a group’s bounding box show the wrong size or shape — both now correctly follow the part’s actual rotated position.
